Our Stories
Meet Khyza!
Born at just 25 weeks and weighing 1 lb 15 oz, Khyza defied the odds from day one. After 100 days in the hospital, he began EarlySteps services with our Region 1 (New Orleans) ESL team. By 18 months, Khyza was using single words, identifying objects, and feeding himself. Now at 2 years old, he has aged out of EarlySteps, and is speaking in sentences, naming everything around him, and thriving. His therapist is constantly finding new ways to challenge his curious mind.
