Post Polio Support

Many people who experienced the effects of polio in their childhood or early teens are now facing new problems related to the disease later in life. Symptoms of post-polio syndrome include fatigue, muscle weakness and deterioration, muscular pain, difficulty breathing and mobility problems. Easter Seals Louisiana sponsors post-polio support groups located around the state and offers individuals who are experiencing these late effects of the disease an opportunity to gather and receive support and helpful information.
